Sociology Department

The sociology Department was established in 1984. From 1984 to 2000 the Head of Department was Prof. Sau. Sarla Suryavanshi (Kasankar). From 2000 and onward till today Dr. Rajendra Kamble (Ph.D.,M.Phil.,NET,B.Ed.) is the present head. The students take admission to this course in large numbers which is equal to the number of admission in the English department. Though this course is optional, almost 100% students choose it. There are two section of this course is B.A. I while in B.A. II & B. A. III this course is run one section each.

Objective

• To spread awareness of the social issues.

Dr. Rajendra Kamble, the Head of the Department has obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2011. He has five Published book to his credit. He is a member of Rastrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur, University Board of studies of Sociology since 2017. Till toady he has participated in about 40 state level national level and International level seminars.
