The present of people welfare society aspired to open one of college in pastoral area, in order to avail the educational facility for the downtrodden students. As they do not deprive form education and to give to them chance to make their position in the rival of new modern society. So they established a college, namely “Indira Gandhi Arts and Commerce College” in kalmeshwar district Nagpur. In 1984 Grandeur of this college is it continually developing its standard in itself and students avail all kinds of facility in all direction, among it library “plays it key role. There are all kinds of books (Academic and Non- academic), which continuously motivate student to get their way to the library.

Library is the heart of the College. The college has a very huge library. The library is enriched with various types of collections. The library is a treasure house of knowledge comprises ever growing colligation of 8482 books. All this valuable resources are well organized in the 14.77 × 9.54 = 140.960 squ. Area where more than 12 teachers and 55 users can sit at a time. The college library is semi computerize. Internet facility is available in library. The library makes a display of new arrivals and contents are also supplied to riders on demand. A part from the above facilities the study/ reading room for students & staff is available separately. The reading room is open 8 to 10 hours for students.
